Courtesy Palm Harbor Honda Goes Pink For Breast Cancer Awareness

It’s October, which means it is Breast Cancer Awareness month. So, this month, Courtesy Palm Harbor Honda goes pink as we help to raise awareness for breast cancer research and support.

Breast cancer is something that can impact all, not only women, but also men, as well as their families. I mean, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. Our mission is to help those who are affected by breast cancer through education and early detection. Support can help provide education about breast health, free resources and screenings, and most importantly, a supportive hand to hold as the men and women walk through the complex and confusing cancer care system.

Did you know that only $100 helps to provide a mammogram for a woman in need? We can help support those who are in need of care with even the smallest of donations.

While breast cancer can’t be prevented, early detection is key. You should be aware of early warning signs and symptoms by performing breast self-exams. In addition, make sure that you’re getting your breast exam and mammograms from a qualified heath professional who will check for lumps and other physical changes that may need to be investigated.

In addition, another thing you can do to help reduce your risk of breast cancer is to maintain a healthy weight, stay physically active, eat fruits and veggies, don’t smoke, and limit alcohol intake.

For those looking to help the cause, we invite you to become inspired. Create a fundraising campaign. Do a charity walk, have a bake sale, volunteer with a nationally recognized charity, have your sports team raise funds, and more. You can help woman at every step of the breast cancer journey.
